  5. Popular courses offered on this program are: History, science, economics
  6. Program structure is a bit different. Students are in the classrooms Monday-Thursday and travel as a group on weekends. Previous programs have visited Sofia, Plovdiv, and Thassos
  7. Dr. Phillip Szmedra will come back in present for a final time in May. The council requested that he comes up with a proposal for an 18 day Maymester program. 17 days is preferred to ensure it doesn’t overlap with students who would like to take classes at their home institution during the summer. Dr. Szmedra also needs to ensure that the Bulgaria program will not be affected too much by the decrease in dates and he may choose to withdraw proposal for the program.
  8. Czech Republic Proposal (8 minute time limit)
  9. This Psychology program based out of VSU no longer wishes to propose this as a consortium program.

  15. Because of policies with KSU’s registrar, KSU students will not be able to change classes at orientation.

  17. The meeting in May we will discuss how we could possibly pay PDs
  18. Discussion on EC marketing proposals from Jeff Brown including the creation of an EC website as a gateway for application to the EC Programs.

Things for consideration:

  • Should we move the payment dates sooner to coincide more with Spring financial aid reimbursement?
  • Should we raise the deposit in hopes of having fewer students withdraw?
  • Should we over recruit in the beginning knowing that there will be a lot of drops? Like what airlines and hotels do?
