Payroll Analyst - Part Time

Our Philadelphia, PA headquarters seeks a Payroll Analyst to administer company payroll program and act as main administrator for payroll and HRIS part time, 24 hours/week.

Areas of responsibility will include:

  • Process payroll in accordance with company regulations and required laws.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll by collecting all employee data, changes and timesheets.
  • With highest degree of accuracy, initiate all payroll checks such as bonus', special payouts, car allowances, etc.
  • Maintain garnishment file in accordance with all state and federal laws.
  • Notify Finance of bi-weekly transfer of funds from payroll account to payroll vendor.
  • Maintain accruals and payouts of paid time off.
  • Run bi-weekly, quarterly and as needed payroll reports for Finance and Human Resource staff.
  • Periodically perform cost analysis to compare other payroll vendors with current system.
  • Responsible for all year end payroll functions.
  • Work with inside/outside auditors to ensure that all employee documentation is maintained according to internal/external requirements.
  • Research and resolve all payroll tax reporting issues.
  • Act as main administrator for payroll and HRIS systems. Responsible for all updates/changes to the system.
  • Assists in related projects and performs miscellaneous administrative functions to support HR activities.

Our requirements include at least 4-6 years of experience in payroll, benefits, HRIS and compensation including a minimum of three years payroll experience (preferably ADP) and two years HRIS experience. Strong MS Office skills with Intermediate Excel skills and a strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor/personnel laws and regulations are also essential. Must also have excellent organization and communication skills with ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment, tact and confidentiality in all matters.
