One-Pager
(AVID Strategy)
Follow this format for your One-Pager Project. Check off steps as you go.
o Use the paper provided by your teacher.
o Include two or more quotes from the novel. Pick at least two that are very important to the plot or theme of the selection. BE PICKY!
o Include a graphic representation (drawing, magazine picture, computer graphic, symbol, etc) that would represent the selection. BE CREATIVE! Tie your graphic/illustration to a quote you chose.
o Include a personal response - a comment, a connection, an interpretation, or a review – not a summary.
o Include the title and author at the top. MAKE IT STANDOUT FROM THE REST!
o NO PENCIL ALLOWED! Use ink and color. PENS, PENCIL COLORS, MARKERS, COLORED PICTURES WORK GREAT!
o Fill up the entire piece of paper.
o Put your name in the lower right corner.
