ERMS 6th Grade Supply List

Dear students and parents,

Welcome to the sixth grade! You have an exciting year ahead of you. We look forward to meeting and working with all of you. There are many things that help a student achieve success, but one of the key elements of student performance is being prepared. Below is a list of items you will need to achieve in our classes. Please come to school prepared and ready to learn and you will have a great year.

ERMS 6th Grade Teachers

For your personal use:

2 inch or larger 3-ring binder

8 subject dividers with pockets

1 calculator: TI30Xa ($10.00 at Wal-Mart) Please try to purchase this.

6 composition books (the black and white marbled style books)

1 zippered pencil pouch

1 hand held pencil sharpener with shaving catcher

Plenty of notebook paper. We recommend you stock up now with at least 5 packages for the year while paper is so cheap.

Plenty of pencils and cap erasers

6 3-prong pocket folders

To be turned into homeroom teacher:

1 pack of dry erase markers; no pastels

5 packages of colored pencils

1 box of crayons

2 rolls of paper towels

5 full-sized boxes of Kleenex

1 dozen pencils

1 package of cap erasers

Hand sanitizer

5 packs of wide-ruled notebook paper

1 pack of highlighters (any color)

4 packs of standard, lined index cards

Construction paper

Elmer’s Liquid Glue

The student is expected to have these materials in class everyday.

  • One Large 3-Ring Binder (Zippered seems to work best)
  • 5 Subject Spiral Notebook
  • Sticky Notes for Language Arts
  • 4 folders with pockets that fit inside the 3-ring binder
  • Colored Pencils
  • #2 pencils and Handheld Pencil Sharpener
  • One blue or black pen
  • Pencil Pouch
  • Notebook Paper
  • Scissors, Highlighter, Glue Stick, Crayons, ruler
