SUMMARY

Civil electrical engineer, Diploma in maintenance engineering, specialist in control and automation of industrial processes, extensive experience in projects and maintenance of control systems DCS, SCADAS and PLCS, with high level of expertise.

Experience on issues of responsible care, respect the environment, quality (ISO 9000) and reliability, with management skills and leadership.

My strengths include great analytical skills, structured thinking, good planning and proactive.

WORK EXPERIENCE

ENAEX Planta Prillex America, Mejillones May 2009 – until today

Implementation engineer.(Fixedtermcontract)

Support DCS engineering group in preparation for the start-up of the new plant. Preparation for commissioning of equipment and DCS control loops in general, verification of cause and effect matrices, reviewing technical documentation, and removal of non-conformities monitoring.

DCS Leader

Responsible for the maintenance of the control system, spare parts management, and development of preventive and predictive maintenance plan for the area.

• Lead the team that conducted the review, debugging, building and improvement plans for preventive maintenance of main equipments over the plant. This work considered incorporating concepts of reliability, availability and maintainability in mind the efficient use of the budget. This team was able to share experiences and ways of working between all the specialties of the department, and also have maintenance plans coordinated.

• Leader of a shift that worked on upgrading the control system to an ancient art. This work was to develop work plans and Gantt charts for the implementation and subsequent monitoring, coordinating work with the production department and supervision of contractors and permanent staff assigned to theproject.

• Development and implementation of preventive maintenance plan for the DCS area. This is the first time that the area has a formal maintenance plan. With this plan you can now have a good estimate of theburdenofannualpreventivework.

• Development of procedures for recovery from catastrophic failures of main control systemcomputers. Before this, there were no formal procedures and a recovery of important equipment maytake many hours and sometimes not all the spare parts required were available.

• Participated as a start-up control engineer in the commissioning and start-up of the last plant built. Involvement with the start-up team gave me a deep technical knowledge of the control system, which was thenusedtotrainmyco-workers.

• Acting as Head area. This allowed me to learn more about management and leadership.

HBENGINEERING(MethanexContractor),PuntaArenasfrom1997to2004.

DCSEngineer (1999-2004)

Responsible for the development of detail engineering and support the maintenance control system team.
• Training to production operators in control system maintenance and basic operation of the control system. This enabled the production department with highly trained operators and a more secure operation.
• Implementation of a testing DCS control system. This parallel system allowed for better training for operators and instrumentation technicians as well as repeat failures to allow DCS engineers to make a better troubleshooting and testchangesbeforeintervening to therealequipment, loweringtherisksofintervention.

• Development of DCS detail engineering, important for the plant. The most prominent are: Over temperature reformation furnace protections, control of common instrumental air header. This increased the reliability of the plant to protect it for flaws that could have been catastrophic.

AssistantEngineering(1997-1999)

In charge of developing DCS work plans and risk analysis.Support and implementation of DCS workorders.

• Develop and implementationof the engineering required to updating the boiler safety PLC. This work helped increase the equipment reliability and control equipment from the control room.
