Opening7h45 / Subsequent rounds will start 10 minutes after the completion of previous round.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
  1. Complete one registration form per player;
  2. It will be each player’s responsibility to ensure that he/she appears on the players list;
  3. Entries close at 20:00 on Wednesday 8th June 2016.
  4. Players’ list will be available on Thursday 9th June 2016. Please note you will not be on the players list if proof of payment is not received with entry. If you are not on the players’ list, contact Johan Veldsman.
  5. Late entries will participate from the second round only;
  6. Late entries will be limited to the availability of tables;
  7. Please note we cannot guarantee entry on the day.

  9. Please use the “CHESS” and player’s NAME and SURNAME as reference;
  10. To assist us we kindly request you to make separate payments for different players;

TOURNAMENT ARRANGEMENTS
  1. The organisers reserve the right to merge or change division of the sections on the grounds of availability of space and the size of the sections;
  2. Right of admission reserved;
  3. No items may be sold or traded by any person other than those given permission by the tournament organizer in writing;
  4. By your entry into this tournament you agree unconditionally to abide by all the rules and regulations;
  5. The organizers of the tournament are not responsible for the safety of players or their property;
  6. Players have to provide their own chess pieces and clocks. The organisers will provide the chess boards. Players who do not have clocks are also welcome to participate;
  7. FIDE rules apply;
  8. Tuck shop will be available.

Prizes
  1. First 3 players and best female player will receive medals;
  2. The following tiebreak system will be used to determine winners in case of equal points:
1)Bucholz Median System; 2) Sonneborn-Berger; 3) Tournament Performance; 4) Number of wins.
  1. Prize giving will be held after each round;
