Attendance is required by the college and is vital to the successful completion of the course. College policy states that a student who is absent for more than 15% of class meetings is considered non-attending and may be involuntarily withdrawn from the course. If a student places into ENG 081/ENG 101 and subsequently withdraws from either course, he or she will be automatically withdrawn from the other.

INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE:

If you would like additional help outside of class, come to my office during my office hours or make an appointment for another mutually convenient time. In addition, the Tutoring Center on the fourth floor of the Main Building offers individual assistance with your writing assignments and tutoring for specific problems.

ACADEMIC HONESTY:

All students are expected to behave with academic honesty. It is not academically honest for students to misrepresent another person’s work as their own, to take credit for someone else’s words or ideas, to accept help on a test or assignment when they are expected to work independently, to obtain advanced information on confidential test materials, or to act in a way that might harm another student’s chance for academic success.

A student who does not maintain academic honesty will receive an F, either for the assignment or for the course, depending on the severity of the offense. For a second offense, a student may bedismissed from the College.
