End of the Year PreCalculus Video Project

Introduction: Students will create a video pertaining to a precalculus topic of their choosing studied during the course of the year.

Guidelines:

1. Find 2 or 3 other people to work with. (Group max is 4 – NO Exceptions). You may work alone.

2. Choose a topic for your video. Here are some ideas to get you started:

a. Create a music video for a song you write about a pre-calculus concept or formula(s).

b. Create an episode of a TV show (comedy, drama, mystery) in which the plot line revolves around a concept from this year.

c. Other – It must be approved by me before you begin

3. Prepare a script for your video. Turn in a copy of your script to me for my approval prior to starting work on your video.Due by Thursday May 26th (A day classes) or Wednesday May 25th(B day classes – If you email it to me, I will accept it on the 27th)

4. Your video must be of 3 – 5 minutes (music video)or 10 – 15 minutes (TV show).

5. Your video must be appropriate. No questionable language, gestures, etc. Clothing must be school appropriate.

6. Your video will be graded on originality, content, participation, quality, and following directions. All students in group may NOT get same grade. (See Rubric)

7. You may NOT leave other classes to work on this! You may need to work on this outside of class.

8. Your video is due by Tuesday May 31st, 2016 (A day classes) or Wednesday June 1, 2016 (B day classes). However, you may turn it in as soon as you finish. NO LATE PROJECTS.

9. This is a MAJOR GRADE! If you score below a 70 – you will need to redo by the day of your final exam.
