End of Employment Pay and Benefits

An employee terminated from the Center after ninety (90) days of employment will receive their accrued paid vacation leave up to a maximum of two (2) weeks accrual, as well as owed salary up to the date of termination. An employee terminated prior to completion of the probationary period will receive owed salary up to the date of termination.

Health, life and long term disability insurances and retirement benefits are subject to provisions of the specific plans. If health and life insurance benefits are terminated, continuation coverage may be purchased under certain conditions. There are no provisions for long term disability group insurance continuation after termination of employment. Please refer to the summary plan descriptions, and consult with the staff in Human Resources and/or the Accounting Office for further details.

Rehire

In the event that an employee terminates their employment with the Center and is subsequently rehired, the most recent hire date will be used in the determination of years of service and seniority in this policy.
