POSITION: Employment Consultant

JOB LOCATION: 5 Viking Drive West, Little Canada, MN 55117

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES: Responsible for managing a caseload of approximately20 people with disabilities. Develop and implement service record management functions (write progress reports, cssp-a, sma, iapp, outcomes, etc...& represent Kaposia at annual ST meetings). Utilize Discovering Your Personal Genius™ process to meet the desired outcomes of the customer served, intake, initial training and on-going support for customers. Serve as a consultant to employers in the areas of training, support, and job adaptations. Facilitate transportation and provide ongoing consulting and job supports. Respond to assigned customer and employer needs on a day-to day basis. Must believe in and promote the company’s mission, vision, and service principles. DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A four-year degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older is preferred, OR
  • A two-year degree in a field related to human services, and two full years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older is preferred, OR
  • A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older is preferred OR
  • A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and

Four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older.

  • A four-year degree in a field related to service provision, and one year work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities is preferred, OR
  • A two-year degree in a field related to service provision, and two years of work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities is preferred, OR
  • A diploma in community-based developmental disability services from an accredited postsecondary institution and two years of work experience with consumers with developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Have a vehicle, valid license and clean driving record or alternate transportation available to conduct company business

HOURS: 40-hour workweek. Schedule will vary based on customer’s needs. Mostly,Monday–Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., must be flexible to attend meetings and training as required beyond regular hours. Will also include occasional weekends, nights, and holidays.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Nonexempt (hourly) position, range is $15.81-$17.00 per hour depending upon education and experience. Full-benefit package will be available after completing two full months of employment. Benefits include medical (employee contribution), dental, life insurance, AD&D, long-term disability. Other benefits include: 401K, paid holidays, Personal Time Off and Short Term Leave (STL), and seven holidays.
