Introduction:

Thank you for covering my class today. I have included everything you should need below. Please complete the “substitute feedback form” at the end of the day to provide feedback about the students’ performance and to assist me as I work to improve my sub folder!

Weekly Schedule:

Monday and Tuesday – Academic Training

Wednesday, and Thursday – Uniform Inspection, and Drill

Friday - Physical Training

Academic Lessons are available on the classroom computer and utilize Power Point and a software program called CPS. Either the Platoon Commander or the Chief will help you set up the presentation. The weekly schedule detailed on my desktop will detail what lecture is being taught for that day.

If you are not comfortable with trying to discuss the subject matter you can allow the Platoon Commander to review past lessons.

Weather permitting, if the PC asks to go outside to drill instead of academics that is perfectly acceptable.

Wednesday and Thursday are Uniform days. The Senior Cadets in each period run the class. Students are allowed 10 minutes to get squared away for inspection and then they fall out to the Drill deck behind building 500. Following inspection, the Platoons should practice Drill. Please ensure that any student not in uniform receives an F grade for the inspection.

Friday is PT Day. Students will bring PT Gear, change out, and when ready the PC will have them fall out for PT on the field behind building 500. If time allows after the workout the Platoon can drill. As per the Uniform Day guidance, any Cadet that does not dress out for PT should receive an F grade.

Notes: Class Leaders will help you administer the class. They are very responsible students who will execute the Substitute Plans with you. During 5th Period the class is comprised of Battalion Senior leadership. These students have legitimate jobs they are assigned in the unit and can be allowed to work independently.
