Members in good standing with USSA are eligible to enter these races. Every racer must have and show a current USSA membership card when the race number/bib is issued. It may be required that you leave the USSA membership card at registration until your bib is returned. USSA membership CANNOT be purchased at registration – it must be in hand prior to registration. Helmets are required for all races.

U16 / Racers must be 14, or 15 years old as of 12-31-2013 / (born in 1998 to 1999)
U14 / Racers must be 12 or 13 years old as of 12-31-2013 / (born in 2000 or 2001)
U12 / Racers must be 10 or 11 years old as of 12-31-2013 / (born in 2002 or 2003)
U10 / Racers must be 8 or 9 years old as of 12-31-2013 / (born in 2004 or 2005)
U8 / Racers must be 5, 6, or 7 years old as of 12-31-2013 / (born in 2006 to 2008)
EEYSL Race Format Note: Helmets with soft ears are only allowed in slalom.

Slalom and GS are combined time of two runs. DSQs & DNFs in the 1st run are allowed to compete in the 2nd run

RACE INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE

RACE ENTRY & PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED BY TUESDAY PRECEDING SCHEDULED RACE.

Entry Fee:$19.00/day and $60 for 2-day Finals weekend in March (includes awards, banquet & t-shirt). See reverse side for addresses and payee.

Lift Ticket:Schweitzer is $25, all other areas are $24.00 for lift tickets. (Lift tickets may be purchased on day of race.) Note: Some areas require a separate check. See reverse side for this information.

Bib Fee$50 fee for bibs that are not returned.

Late Entries:Late entries are those for which entry form and payment are not received by the Tuesday preceding scheduled race. Fax or phone calls do not fulfill this requirement.

Late entries fees are double the regular fee.

Racers who register late are not in the draw for start order and must race after all non-late registrants in their class in the 1st run.

AGREEMENT TO ASSUME RISK OF INJURY

I have become a member of or have enrolled my child as a participant or competitor in Bluewood Alpine Race Team (BART), 49 North Alpine Ski Team (FAST), Lookout Pass Race Team (LPRT), Silver Mountain Alpine Race Team (SMART), Schweitzer Alpine Race School, Inc. (SARS) or Spokane Ski Racing Association (SSRA), hereinafter referred to as the Racing Association, or my child is racing for another club or as an independent racer; or my child is racing at Ski Bluewood, 49 North Mountain Resort, Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park, Silver Mountain, Lookout Pass, or Schweitzer Mountain, hereafter referred to as the Ski Areas. I understand skiing and ski racing involves risk or injury due to causes which may includeing, but are not limited to, loss of control or falling, contact with unexpected snow conditions, contact with objects, and, whether above or below the snow surface: Variations in terrain, surface or subsurface snow or ice conditions; bare spots, rocks, trees or other forms of forest growth or debris, lift towers or components thereof; utility poles, racing gates constructed of bamboo, fiberglass or other materials, and snow grooming equipment, and other causes known or unknown. With knowledge and appreciation of the risk of injury, I nevertheless desire to enroll my minor child in the ski race and expressly assume the risk of my child being injured by participating in the ski racing event, knowing for myself or for my child that it is each skier’s sole and individual responsibility to know the range of his or her own ability to negotiate any slope or trail, to ski within the limits of his or her own ability, to maintain reasonable control of speed and course at all times while skiing, to heed all posted warnings, to ski only in a skiing area designated by the ski area operator and to refrain from acting in a manner which may cause or contribute to the injury of anyone. Individually, and as a parent or guardian, I hereby agree to release from liability and indemnify and hold harmless the Racing Association and the host organization and the host Ski Area, itstheir respective agents, successors, assigns, owners, employees, members, officers, directors and landowners, including, but not limited to, the persons mentioned, from any and all claims and liabilities, including costs and attorney’s fees, for harm, injury or damage arising out of or in connection with my participation and the participation of any minor child entrusted to my care in the program or activities of the Racing Association, whether or not caused by the negligence of the Racing aAssociation or host organization or host Ski Areas, itstheir agents, successors, owners, employees, members, officers, directors and landowners from any and all claims and liabilities, including attorney’s fees for any trial or appeal, arising out of or in connection with my participation by me or my family, estate, heirs or assign. I understand that this may prevent me and/or my child from recovering monetary damages even though those damages may have been caused by the negligence of the parties referred to herein above.
