Appendix 1. Information on the 65 black carp specimens used in genetic analysis. Numbers in column one for “Wild” (wild-caught) specimens correspond to specimens numbers of Table 1 and numbered symbols appearing in map. Date column: refers to date of capture for wild-caught specimens; refers to date when specimen/tissues were obtained from farms for aquaculture specimens. Voucher material indicates the existence of retained specimens and the museum catalogue number (when applicable). Hierarchical Bayesian cluster analyses produced Cluster 1 and 2 and subclusters 1-4 (admixed individuals were not analyzed in the upper most analysis). Abbreviations are: TL = total length of specimen; SL = standard length of specimen; nd = not determined; UF = Florida Museum of Natural History; TU = Tulane University Museum of Natural History; IDOC = Illinois Department of Conservation; SIU-C = Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; USGS-SESC = US Geological Survey, Southeastern Ecological Science Center.

*The CR locus of Black Carp sample 4 did not provide quality a sequence that could be scored. BC-4 was part of a sample group of 10 in which the other 9 were determined to be CR haplotype A.

**This single shipment of 30 juvenile fish from Arkansas “Farm B” included Cluster 2 (n= 28; BC-35-39) and admixed (n=2; BC-40 and 57) Black Carp
