Dear Potential Candidate,

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the University of Cincinnati’s StudentGovernment. Whether you are running for the position of President/Vice President or At-Large Senator, this is an exciting time to be a part of Student Government. We are thrilled atyour interest in representing over 40,000 undergraduate students.

This packet contains many important documents that will be necessary for you to be includedin the February elections. You will find enclosed the Schedule of Events, Grade Release Form, the Judicial ConsentForm, the Elections Agreement Form, a copy of the 2014 Election Rules, a Petition Form, andthe Campaign Worker Registration form. Please look through the packet, and familiarizeyourself with the 2014 Election Rules. Not included in this packet is the Electronic Petition forCandidacy Form, which is located on the Student Government website at

This packet must be completed and returned to the Student Government office by February 10,2013, at 5:00pm. If the packet is not turned in by 5:00pm, an exception has not been granted, or the packet is incomplete, you will be disqualifiedand will not be placed on the February ballot. When you return your completed packet, pleasereserve a place at the mandatory Candidate Orientation. All candidates and slates arerequired to attend an orientation and failure to do so is grounds for disqualification.

Please remember that all At-Large Candidates are required to collect 100 signatures and allExecutive Slates are required to collect 250 signatures from registered undergraduatestudents of the University of Cincinnati. Collecting signatures beyond the required numbercan help to ensure that your packet is not declared invalid; additional spaces have beenprovided for this purpose.

2014 Student Body Elections

The following pages do not need to be turned in but are necessary for the election process. Please review the following documentation closely.

A few reminders:

1. Completed packets must be turned in by 5:00pm on February 10, 2014. If you arerunning as a slate, forms for each person must be turned in together.

2. Students signing petitions MUST give their UC email.

4. Slates/Candidates are required to turn in an Electronic Petition for Candidacy form with completed packet by 5:00 pm on February 10, 2014.

3. Slates/Candidates are required to attend a MANDATORY Orientation. All membersof slates must be present. Reserve your spot when you turn in your completed packet by February 10, 2014.

4. Slates/Candidates are NOT allowed to begin campaigning until February 17, 2014.

5. Elections are February 26 – 28, 2013.
