PROJECTS INVOLVED: Mobile manufacturing unit (TP):

Iam involving in the testing and troubleshooting of the mobiles. Working with Agilent 8960 series10 communication testers and software downloads into the servers. I trained in Beijing ( china) for one moth at various stages and implementing same in Bangalore plantlike making the process flow charts , work instruction to the operators to operate the systems and training to trouble shooting operators for new models. Iam full aware of mobile functioning from writing PSN number to IMEI number and functions of each block in the mobile and architecture of mobile network and also in W-CDMA.

PROJECTS INVOLVED: In C-DOT

Present Project Name : WiMax (Redline): This Product works on Wimax technology

With 256 OFDM as the air interface. This product is mainly for Data applications (IP) for service providers as a backhaul unit. This is working in both license and non-license band.

My involvement in this project is, integrating, testing and validation of the system with various specifications. And mainly concentrate on the air interface like change the parameter like modulation ,RSSI, TX power and distance and test the system for BER and FER .Also set system for NMS and network related settings(internet).

Project Name: MILTON PROJECT (Canadian Rresearch Centre (CRC))

Milton (Microwave Light organized network),Milton is microwave radio system that uses low power signals to relay Internet data bi-directionally between users and a hub located within 1-2 kilometers.in unlicensed frequency bands. This is used for urban and rural enviromments.This system consists of hub and S.T (subscriber Terminal).with WiFi network for users.

Project Name : IDR (Intermediate Data rate) system.

Validation of IDR system (Upconverter and down converter modules)

Basically this system is used between two exchanges. The maximum data rate is 2Mbs/s. This is used in C-band (4-6 GHz range).

Project Name : HDSL “Impulse noise” generator card

The aim of design this card is to inject impulse noise (cook pulse) and Micro interruption on HDSL loops to test the performance of the HDSL transceivers as per ITU-T standards G.991.1 and G.996.1.

This card contains two sections 1. Digital portion implemented in VHDL and analog portion with op-amps and other passive components.

PROJECT: ISD-16 (VSAT), Integrated Speech and Data-16kbps.

Description:

C-DOT’s ISD-16 system provides16kbps Data & Voice Transmission via satellite using 2.5m dia solid offset parabolic glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) dish with feed, transmit reject filter (TRF) and low noise amplifier (LNA).

Network design accommodates 50 VSAT’ in fixed TDMA/TDM with one clear channel. Data transfer is between vsats via HUB. The inbound data (VSAT to HUB) is at the Rate of 17kpbs (kilobits per second) on TDMA Channel in the form of packets and outbound Data is (HUB to VSAT) at the rate of 64kpbs (kilobits per second) on TDM channel. Voice Communication (16Kbps ADPCM) is provided on continuous clear channel vast.

My Contribution:

Actively involved in Design Validation, Testing and trouble shooting of all R.F modules like CBAND SSPA, 6/4 GHz Microwave Oscillators, Synthesizers, and up/down converters, Base band modules and field trails in southern India.

PROJECT: MICROWAVE OSCILLATORS:

Client : ISD16/ISD64/MCPC (SATELLITESYSTEMS)

Description: The UP / DN PLO‘s are used in the Up converter/down converter of the ODU of ISD-16, operating in c-band. This synthesizer has a Frequency range of 5900 MHz to 6340 MHz / 3500 MHz to 4500 MHz in steps Of 40 MHz. This synthesizer can be used as the local oscillator for up conversion /down Conversion while operating in c-band transponders of INSAT satellites or any other satellite.

My Contribution:

Involved in design modifications of these oscillators, to meet the required specifications particularly, controlling the failure rate and phase noise there by increasing output level.

PROJECT: Design Validation and Testing of A.R.M D.M.R System in 2 GHz – 2.3GHz, (Digital Microwave Radio Including MUX.)

CLIENT: Department of Telecommunications (DOT), Govt. Of India.

DESCRIPTION: The ARM Digital Radio system is intended for point-to-point transmission of Data over line-of-sight distance, within 30kms range from exchange to exchange and carrying 30 to 120 Standard telephone channels with 2Mb/s, 8Mb/s data rate in HDB3 CODE in CCITT Format. The operating frequency of this system is 2.0001 to 2.3 GHz ranges. The modulation Scheme used in this system is “OPQSK”. The main blocks of this system are RLU, TLU, and UP-ONVETER, DUPLEXER, P.A and SUPY &BITE.

My Contribution: Actively involved from 1992 to 1997 in Development of 2GHz (30/120-channel) radio. Technology taken from “ALGAMATED WIRELESS AUSTRALIA” (AWA). Fully conversant in development, pilot production, testing and Installation of pilot batch production systems.

PROJECT: I.F FILITERS

CLIENT: 30/120 CH D.M.R SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION: Developed “I.F (70MHz) filter used in receiver section (30 and 120 Channel radio) with SAW (surface acoustic wave) filter. The main object of this filter is to remove unwanted signals with high attenuation and pass the desired signal with low attenuation. The main specification of this filter was 50 ohms input/out put impedance, with gain of 20dB, and Attenuation for stop band is 40db down.

PROJECT: D.T.A (Digital transmission Analyzer)

CLIENT: A.R.M Production Unit

DESCRIPTION: Developed “Digital Transmission Analyzer” for Production point of view. The main features of this DTA is, it produces “AMI, HDB3 Codes” in 2, 8Mb/s data rates in different patterns (PRBS 2**10-1, 2**15-1,2**23-1). It eliminates the need of DTA in production while testing ARM DMR system and reduces the costive production towards equipments.

Involved in installation of pilot batch production systems in “Kalna to Samudragrah” in W.B and “Ranchi to coal mains” in Bihar regions with DOT &REP officials.

Professional Capabilities:

Good knowledge in testing and trouble shooting of Transmitters, Receivers like oscillators, Power amplifiers, IF filters and Analog/digital cards.

Familiar with latest digital transmission concepts, like Data stream Frame structures and Optical Technology.
