Isaac Wilson - isaac wilson ()

Isaac Wilson was born in Accra, Ghana in 1982. At the age of five, Isaac would gather empty cans and set them as drum at the back of his father’s residence and perform. After many performances behind this father’s house at Accra, he drew a lot of attention from his neighbours. One of his neighbours was impressed with his performance that he asked Isaac to join the Methodist Church Choir of Accra, Ghana.

After Isaac had practiced with Methodist church choir and had performed for some years, he become known all over greater Accra region. In fact he was considered to be one of the best singers and known to be well gifted in playing other musical instruments, such as brumes, guitar, and tom-tom.

While singing and performing with Accra Methodist, Isaac also performed with other non-gospel music artists in the Greater Accra region. His performance with the non-gospel artist exposed him to the other non-gospel communities in greater Accra region. Given his magnificent performance and his ability to combine both gospel and non-gospel music gave him a chance to be invited to perform in PanaFest , Christmas parties and other national festivals in Accra.

Later, Isaac moved to Canada with his father. When he arrived in Canada, he recognized the opportunities of the Canada education system. He knew that, if he completed higher education he will be in a position to get better paying job. Consequently Isaac enrolled in high school of Montreal. He successfully completed the high school and was awarded high school diploma. In addition, he has completed social science program from Vanier College and currently pursing a financial program at the McGill University, Montreal.

While Isaac was perusing his education in Canada, he joined Ghana Seventh Days Adventist (S.D.A) Church choir in Montreal. He toured with this choir to the U.S.A. and Toronto gospel contests. After three months with the choir and new gospels songs, the pastor of the church and their choir members appreciated Isaac’s talent in music, therefore he was nominated as a choir leader.

Although, Isaac has joined S.D.A. church choir in Montreal, in many occasions he accepted an invitation to performed in non-church parties in the Ghanaian community, Montreal. With this he became well know in the Ghanaian music industry. Given his unique talent in music, he was invited to perform in Miss Ghana-Canada in Toronto and had won many music awards both in Toronto and in Ghana.

Despite Isaac’s presence in the church choir and all the wonderful songs that he has been singing to glorify the Lord, he considered producing non-gospel songs album. With the help of some friends Isaac produce non-gospel album, but never released to the public.

Isaac was invited to sing at The Apostles’ Continuation Church International, Montreal. The sermon that day was about “sing on to the Lord a new song”. This was not the first time that Isaac had heard these words, but this time they sounded different. He felt like God is speaking to him through this sermon. He said to himself, “I think it is time to let go the non-gospel and sing a new song to glorify my Lord’.

After the church service he accepted Jesus as his personal saviour for the first time and then joined the church, The Apostles Continuation Church Int., Montreal choir. He was well accepted by the church choir. From that time he dedicated his time for the church activities and the choir.

While Isaac was practicing and performing with the A.C.C.I. church choir, he begun his first gospel album entitled “Yesi Nkete”. After five years of prayers, fasting, hard working the support of some special people in his life, he released the album in 2007. It was considered to be one of the best gospel albums of that year. Every song on the album was unique and new as the message he heard that changed his life.

Isaac currently, resides in Montreal and is still a fully dedicated member of The Apostles’ Continuation Church Int., Montreal choir. He is working on his second album, which is due to be released by the end of the year 2008.

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, since he received the messages “sing a new song to the Lord”, every day every hour Isaac sings a new song to the Lord.

For all his music ministry success, thanks to The A.C.C.I. church leaders for their support, prayers, and advice. His spiritual father Elder Paul Mensah is very special. May God continue to bless him, his family and his ministry. He prays that God give him infinite wisdom and patience, to continue to lead The Apostles’ Continuation Church Int., Montreal. My producer Nana Oppong a full committed member of The Apostles’ Continuation Church Int. Thanks for your financial support and the time you spent to promote the album. May God richly bless you in abundance, may he increase you understanding in the gift of giving. May God grant your heart desire. He asks the same for Mrs. Oppong. Thanks to my fans and those who have made difference in my life.

Tribute to Nana Oppong

Before I became a member of The Apostles’ Continuation Church International, I heard a lot of good thing about Nana Oppong as Ashanti King of Montreal. I attended the festival of his swearing in as the Ashanti King in Montreal. When Nana Oppong was sworn in as an Ashanti King of Montreal, people came from all over North America and Ghana to support Nana. It was in the news in all over Canada and Ghana. Well I told myself that time, I never think I will be able to get closer to Nana given his position.

My first visit to The Apostles’ Continuation Church International, Montreal, I saw Nana Oppong sitting in the seat right at the front of church. At First I said to myself, “Is it not the same Nana that was crowed as the Ashanti King some time ago?, Well, may be he just came to visit the church or he came for some one else’s baby dedication”. The next Sunday, when I went to the church again, Nana was still sitting in the same seat. When ever there was a song, he will be the first person to dance to the glory of God. When there was time for donation he will be the first to reach in his pocket without question how much money is in there. I was amazed what Nana was doing at the church. Finally, I asked one of the church members about Nana’s regarding the church, and I was told that Nana is no more the King of the Ashanti group in Montreal. He over thrown himself and had become a devoted born again Christian. Praise the Lord.

For two years I witnessed Nana participating in church activities and attending church services. This time God has blessed me with new songs, but I needed some one with funds to help me produce and release it to the public. I spoke to one of the church leaders, if he can recommend any one from the church to help me. He recommended Nana. At first, I was hesitant to approach him. The leader who recommended him to me decided to go with me to discuss my situation with Nana. To God be the Glory Nana came to my rescue. Nana provided all the financial support that was needed to complete the entire album.

Furthermore, Nana took me as one of his brothers. This time he is not only providing me with just the money but advice, encouragement any thing that a brother will do for a brother.

I thanks you Nana and your family and May God bless you, give you long life more money to be able to help others not just Isaac Wilson (ha ha ha).

Intro:

Sing a new song to the Lord.
All you people of the earth sing to the Lord.
Together, we can lift the Lord higher
and sing many new songs to
the lord and spread the word of God
As a testimony; I have experienced song
that glorify God as source of a healing power.
Therefore I encourage you to try to sing
at least a single song just for the Lord every day.
I believe singing to glorify the Lord is not all
about the best voice, neither is it for the
most talented musicians, but rather for those
who love the Lord with all their heart and like to
honour his holy name.
