Skill/Idea/Task / Strong / Weak / Developing / Action Plan

This inventory is intended to help you focus on leadership skills that are difficult to teach in the abstract but rather best suited to application in your CBL setting. Look each of these over carefully and use the EIL text to refresh your memory as to what they mean and how they should work ideally according to the authors. Try to evaluate which skills you could focus on at your CBL for the rest of the semester, and what you might do to strengthen those skills (write this out in the “Action Plan” section of the inventory). This work should form a personal basis for your discussion of leadership in your Festival of CBL presentation as well as give you a chance to further develop leadership skills in a structured manner.

Note that you have been provided with an “Other” section. This is meant to be a space where you can add skills, ideas or tasks that you would like to work on in conjunction with the EIL skills. Possibilities for this section can be drawn from Leadership for a Better World, a formative experience you have had at your CBL placement this semester or a comment from one of the articles or books you have looked at for your annotated bibliography. If you choose to engage with this section of the inventory make sure that what you are proposing in the Skill/Task/ Idea is distinct from the skills already listed.

You will want to aim to complete this inventory in this class period so you can begin work with it right away.
