College Credit Now

Accel / Eligible student seeking a high school diploma from an eligible Georgia high school; four semester maximum / Dual enrollment students must apply and be accepted at an eligible postsecondary institution meet local systemguidelines / Full-time or part-time / Approved academic courses on the Accel course list; academic only, degree level coursework / At or through the high school or college where the student is dually enrolled / Students simultaneously earn credit toward their high school diploma and academic college credit toward an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree / The Georgia Student Finance Commission will coordinate payment to the eligible postsecondary institution for tuition, approved fees and a book allowance up to four semesters; some fees may still become the responsibility of the student / No
Hope Grant / Eligible student in grades 11-12 seeking a high school diploma from an eligible Georgia high school / Dual enrollment students must meet local systemguidelines and those of the eligible postsecondary institution / Full-time or part-time / Approved courses on Dual Enrollment Directory / At or through the high school or college where the student is dually enrolled / Students simultaneously earn credit toward their high school diploma and college credit toward a certificate or diploma from TCSG postsecondary institutions - / The Georgia Student Finance Commission will coordinate payment to the eligible postsecondary institution for tuition as provided for annually through the Georgia General Assembly;

Move On When Ready / Any high school junior or senior who is enrolled full-time and meets all eligibilityrequirements / MOWR enrollment students must meet all MOWR requirements of the local system and the eligible postsecondary institution / Must be full-time with a minimum of 12 semester hoursper semester / Approved academic, career technical, fine arts and elective courses / At or through the college where the student is dually enrolled / Students simultaneously earn credit toward their high school diploma and college credit toward a certificate, diploma or degree. / The Georgia Department of Education will coordinate payment to the eligible postsecondary institution using the system’s FTE funding; Books and some fees will be the responsibility of the student. A student may be charged for coursework exceeding 13 hours. / No
Residential Programs / High school juniors and seniors at designated program sites; University of WestGeorgia and MiddleGeorgiaCollege / Students must meet the specific entrance requirements for the two programs as well as local system requirements / Full-time / Coursework for each student is recommended and approved by the institution’s dual enrollment coordinator. The award amounts received by eligible students and the total amount of funds appropriated for the programs are established each year by the Georgia General Assembly during the prior legislative sessions and are subject to change during the award year. The student or the student’s parent/guardian is responsible for all costs related to participation in College Credit Now programs that are not approved for funding through the Georgia Lottery for Education, FTE or other funding sources.
