Henry William

(children: Walter E. Wainwright, owned a Music Store in Marrietta, Ohio. Had

daughter from first wife, wife dies and he married the Dean of Women at the Univ of

Wisconsin, where the daughter was going to college. They adopted two siblings:

George and Georgetta. Stayed in contact with his cousin, Thomas.) Two other children

of Henry: Oney and Dave, who stayed in Ohio.

Notes for EDWARD WAINWRIGHT SR.:

In 1852 he had three hundred acres, and had put in thirty acres of wheat. Edward was a farmer in 1860 with a Land worth of $3500, and personal worth of $600 in Morgan County, Ohio.

Edward and family came to the USA around 1851 or 1852. They departed from Liverpool. When Edward married he was a laborer in the Parish of Ormskirk at Skemersdale, England.

In the 1880 Census Edward and Alice and son William 18, and Granddaughter Mary E. Wainwright, 18, (mother b in England, father Ohio) living in Bush Creek, Muskingum, Ohio.

His occupation is listed as farmer. In the 1870 Census Edward and Alice are living in Harrison, Muskingum Co., Ohio. Living with them are Thomas R. age 17, Margaret S. age 14, Mary A. age 11, William age 9 and Elizabeth age 9.

Notes for ALICE ANN MOLYNEUX:

Alice writes home that she and Edward made six hundred gallons of treacle (molasses) and their family is all well and they are doing very well. They have a large stock of horses and cattle and hogs and sheep. In the 1841 Census in Bickerstaffe she is listed as a cotton weaver.

Thomas Wainwright (son of Edward Jr.) said that his father's mother, Alice Molyneaux Wainwright, had two bothers, Molyneaux, who came to the US at about the same time.

At least one descendant settled around What Cheer, as Ray Wainwright (son of Thomas) stayed overnight once at their home.)
