The Post
The post holder will be responsible for managing a caseload of 50 Apprentices and will also assist the College in expanding the operation of Building and Engineering Services’ delivery team in order to meet the educational and training demands of employers, employees and the unemployed in line with the College Mission. They will ensure the delivery of high standard quality training to all staff, employers and employees followed by assessment and internal verification.
Main duties and responsibilities
· To Assess/Internally Verify Frameworks from the Electrical Installation pathways programmes in line with National Occupational Standards and the requirements of The Institute for Apprenticeships, awarding bodies and Sector Skills Councils.
· To conduct initial screening, diagnostic assessment, enrolment and induction of new students including undertaking the requisite administration related to enrolment, assessment, verification and tracking of students.
· To assist in increasing employer engagement and managing the delivery of training, assessment and verification to individual student in order to meet/exceed the excellent results achieved within this programme area.
· Promote continuous improvement to ensure the team maintains its position as a leader in the provision of its service to Building Engineering Services sector.
· Work closely with Team Leaders to ensure that accurate records keyed into Smart Assessor and use effectively to monitor enrolment, registration, retention and achievement.
· As a minimum, arrange to visit learners every 12-15 weeks and review progress records maintained on Smart Assessor.
· Assist IQA and support external verification visits as required.

· Carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the programme area.

The post is offered on an Education Business Services (Stoke) Ltd contract.
Conditions of Appointment
All appointments are offered subject to a period of probationary service up to twelve months, during which time performance will be assessed. In addition, all appointments are subject to:
• medical review
• verification of relevant qualifications
• receipt of references considered suitable by the Company
• a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure check

Working Hours
The standard full time working week for all staff is 37 hours.

Salary Payments
Salary is paid by direct credit transfer to your bank or building society account in 12 equal parts. Payment is made on the 27th day of each month or the next working day thereafter.
Notice Periods
The amount of notice you are required to give and entitled to receive is 1 months. Fixed term appointments may be offered with a notice period of one week, depending upon the length of the fixed term. The notice period applicable during a probationary period is 1 week.
Location of Work
Your principal place of work will be at the site given in the job description of the post. However, you may be required to work on either temporary or indefinite basis, at any premises at which the Company may from time to time provide services.
