Twofull-time positions are available for 40 hours per week.

You will be joining an established Agency that is guided by faith to care for and bring hope to people in need with humility, compassion and respect. With more than 50 years of service delivery, Catholic Social Services is one of the largest multi-function social services agencies in Canada, with more than 1600 staff, and 2000 volunteers delivering 130+ programs through Central and Northern Alberta. As a Seniors Resource Coordinator, the successful candidate will work with a team that receives, assesses, and addresses reports of elder abuse in Edmonton. It is essential the successful candidate has strong collaboration skills in order to work closely with clients, police, and other agencies to provide quality assistance to seniors at risk or experiencing abuse. You will work with professionals, concerned community members, family members and the seniors themselves. Using analytical skills and good judgment, the successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Elder Abuse Resource and Supports Team to assess cases and provide support to clients and families in need. Strong communication skills are an asset, as you will be required to raise community awareness of this issue through presentations, writing articles, and attending community events. The hourly wage for this position is $23.03 to $25.96 per hour based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Your degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or equivalent, registration with the applicable professional association, and two years of experience working with seniors, addictions, high risk behaviours, and family violence intervention has prepared you for this rewarding and challenging role. Registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers is preferred. A vehicle and valid Operator's License are required for this position, along with an enhanced police security check.
