The Graduate Internship Schemeis collaboration between the University of Sunderland, a recent Graduate and a regional SME. The Scheme has been designed to benefit both the Graduate and the company, ensuring that the Graduate takes the first steps on the career ladder whilst the company benefits from the Graduates enthusiasm, expertise and up to date knowledge.

The Internship is a full time position, for a 12 month fixed term period, based with Living North in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Organisation:

Living North Magazine was founded in 1999 and quickly built up a reputation for high quality photography, strong editorial and stylish design. The editorial team have taken the best of the country and mixed it with the vibrant city life. Living North is a privately owned, independent publishing company, with a lead title: Living North. The magazine also publishes a number of carefully researched supplements, which highlights the best of various subject areas, including restaurants, interiors, artists and galleries.

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recent graduate to join the Living North editorial team, based centrally in Newcastle upon Tyne. The successful candidate will work alongside the team of editors, as well as the sales and design teams. Specific responsibilities include researching, writing and proofing features, picture selection and assisting the design team in preparing and checking pages for print.

The successful candidate should be able to bring enthusiasm, creativity and initiative to the role, whilst being able to manage their own workload on a day to day basis.
