1: for purpose of making skill checks, counts as having 2 ranks

Possessions combat gear plus adventuring equipment (incl. disguise kit, identification papers, noble’s outfit, spell component pouch, …), cloak of charisma +2, everburning torch (material component), glamerweave clothing, jewelry, masterwork flute, masterwork rapier, masterwork thieves’ tools, mithral chain shirt, ~240 gp.

Bardic Knack (Ex): When making any skill check, Evane can use ½ her bard level (rounded up) in place of the number of ranks she has in the skill (even if that number is 0). She can’t take 10 when she uses bardic knack (to take 10 she has to use her actual ranks). She can even use bardic knack with “Trained Only” skills, due to her Jack of All Trades feat.

Bardic Music (Su or Sp):Four times per day, Evane can use her music to produce magical effects on those around her (usually including herself, if desired). Starting a bardic music effect is a standard action. Some bardic music abilities require concentration, which means Evane must take a standard action each round to maintain the ability. Even while using bardic music that doesn’t require concentration, she cannot cast spells, activate magic items by spell completion (such as scrolls), spell trigger (such as wands), or command word. Just as for casting a spell with a verbal component, a deaf bard has a 20% chance to fail when attempting to use bardic music. If she fails, the attempt still counts against her daily limit.

Countersong (Su):Evane can use her music (singing or wind instruments) to counter magical effects that depend on sound (but not spells that simply have verbal components). Each round of the countersong, she makes a Perform check. Any creature within 30 feet of her (including herself) that is affected by a sonic or language-dependent magical attack may use her Perform check result in place of its saving throw if, after the saving throw is rolled, the Perform check result proves to be higher. If a creature within range of the countersong is already under the effect of a noninstantaneous sonic or language-dependent magical attack, it gains another saving throw against the effect each round it hears the countersong, but it must use her Perform check result for the save. Countersong has no effect against effects that don’t allow saves. Evane may keep up the countersong for 10 rounds.

Fascinate (Sp):Evane can use her music (singing or wind instruments) to cause up to two creatures to become fascinated with her. Each creature to be fascinated must be within 90 feet, able to see and hear her, and able to pay attention to her. She must also be able to see the creatures. The distraction of a nearby combat or other dangers prevents the ability from working. To use the ability, she makes a Perform check. Her check result is the DC for each affected creature’s Will save against the effect. If a creature’s saving throw succeeds, she cannot attempt to fascinate that creature again for 24 hours. If its saving throw fails, the creature sits quietly and listens to the song, taking no other actions, for as long as she continues to play and concentrate (up to a maximum of 4 rounds). While fascinated, a target takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Listen and Spot checks. Any potential threat requires her to make another Perform check and allows the creature a new saving throw against a DC equal to the new Perform check result. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the target, automatically breaks the effect. Fascinate is an enchantment (compulsion), mind-affecting ability.

Inspire Courage (Su):Evane can use her music (singing or wind instrumens) to inspire courage in her allies (including herself), bolstering them against fear and improving their combat abilities. To be affected, an ally must be able to hear her play. The effect lasts for as long as the ally hears her play and for 5 rounds thereafter. An affected ally receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 morale bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. Inspire courage is a mind-affecting ability.

Inspire Competence (Su):Evane can use her music (singing) to help an ally succeed at a task. The ally must be within 30 feet and able to see and hear her. She must also be able to see the ally. The ally gets a +2 competence bonus on skill checks with a particular skill as long as he or she continues to hear her music. Certain uses of this ability are infeasible. The effect lasts as long as Evane concentrates, up to a maximum of 2 minutes. She can't inspire competence in herself. Inspire competence is a mind-affecting ability.

Beguiling Influence (Sp):Evane gains a +6 bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy and Intimidate checks (already figured into the statistics above) for a period of 24 hours.

Skills (60 + 5):Bluff 8,Concentration 7,Diplomacy 7,Disguise 7,Gather Information 3,Knowledge (local) 6,Knowledge (nobility) 7,Perform (sing) 7,Perform (wind instruments) 3,Sense Motive 5,Use Magic Device 5.

Evane’s History

For as far as Evane knows, her real parents have always been there for her, but nothing is less true. The day she was born Evane’s parents gave her to her uncle and his girlfriend. Evane was raised by the elven druid (Seya) which Evane used to call mother, and an elven rogue called Vornu, Evane’s real dad’s brother. Evane led a peaceful life until one day.

She left the house that her ‘parents’ owned in a house in Eldeen Reaches. She was going for a walk through the woods, she had been very excited the last few weeks because she was getting batter at casting magic every day. Evane had always had the big advantage of being pretty and being clever. Most people she met started to like her from the moment they met her, because of this, Evane became very social skilled at young age.

That day Evane did not return to the house, she got kidnapped by a group of not all to friendly looking shifters. After they dragged her to a nearby alley, one of the shifters threatened her with a knife, at that moment a human entered the alley and saw Evane kicking the shifter with her heels right under his chin, the shifter hit the ground unconscious and Evane knocked another shifter down to the ground and found herself caught in a strangle wire. The human (Sedron) rushed in, bashed away the shifter and brought Evane to safety.

Later that day, after being properly introduced and after they had dinner, the human offered Evane a job, having seen her splendid defense against her foes, he was willing to hire her as a member of his scout team: scouts hired by him who got jobs now and then, involving the search for specific rare objects (and of course first acquiring information about the possible locations of the object, the thing Evane learned most from doing this was keeping a low profile and not getting noticed, more than normal that is.) and exploring ancient underground caves (and clearing them of any foes.).

She did not tell her foster parents about her new job, they found out about it because of the strange way Evane acted at home, having to go to places all of a sudden and not being home some evenings got her (foster) parents quite worried.

After a while they asked her about it and got an answer that was not far from the truth. From that point on they would accept what they were told and knew that Evane was happy at doing what she did. Every time she was confronted with new creatures, some were friendly (the Nymph’s she met) and some were not, but she loved the forest and being in the wild and that was also why she loved her job.

At this point Evane and some fellow members of the scoutgroup have been send out to gather information about the crystal shards transport that disappeard quite recently.
