EBA Business English School: Business English Activator

·  Those who perform familiar business tasks in English but still require extra practice to improve their language skills

Business English Activator Course is based on case-study style problem solving activities. The program integrates the four ESL skills: speaking, reading, listening and writing but is very much driven by speaking activities.

Each lesson is centered on a case study reflecting the business world we live in and dealing with various company issues – management, finance, business culture, business ethics, etc. Within the case study framework participants are involved in interactive activities that ensure enriching vocabulary range and improving key language competences.

Consistent lesson structure ensures building your word power, language skills enhancement and provides valuable language practice.

Supplementary audio and video materials accompany the course to provide varied and interesting course content.

Case- study style problem-solving activities are adapted on the basis of Intelligent Business course books.

The disorganized organization (attitudes to change, different models for change, managing resistance to change)

Keeping everyone motivated (attitudes to hierarchy, mentoring/coaching, cross training, learning organization)

Lesson 3. Case study :

Called to account (the concept of corporate social responsibility, greenwashing, variations in values)

Language focus: paired structures

Lesson 4. Case study :

Creative showcase (e-marketing)

Language focus: puns and word clusters

Lesson 5: Consolidation

Lesson 6. Case study:

Winning the rivalry game (power and leadership, tactics of influence)

Language focus: phrasal verbs

Lesson 7. Case study:

Beauty and business (white collar crime, legal issues, negotiating)

Language focrsus: euphemisms

Finding the funds (business ideas, business models, business plans, entrepreneurs)
