SOUTHERN METHODIST COLLEGE
Dear Friends,
Southern Methodist College Board of Directors met on September 18-19 for a special dinner, a training session with Dr. Eddie Beaver, and business.
I was able to report that our enrollment for this fall semester has doubled from this same time last year. Board members raised $10,000 towards debt reduction. We are blessed to have board members who believe in the future of our College.
The Board authorized me to sign a contract with Mid-State Roofing to put a new roof on Huggins Field House pending the finalization of a major donation from a Christian organization. Please pray that the final details will fall in place.
Our next project will be Phase 1 renovations t theFelkelCenter. Plans are to convert the center to two guest apartments.
Currently, four Filipino church planters have been adopted for the next year. Each donor has pledged $100 a month to cover the cost of online education through the College. We have ten more pastors who need a sponsor. Please contact me if you want to be involved in this program.
Our next term begins onOctober 23. We would love to talk with you about taking a course. We have many helpful courses to offer you, including Bible Survey, Bible Doctrines, Christian Education, and many more.
