D. Riker (11/06): regarding district-wide discipline referral page --- This option is currently being utilized through the Power School program and will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed.
Shawnee APT: The guidance department is making efforts to assure that students maintain academic and behavioral performance throughout their school careers. This is an on-going process that will need to be addressed in the future.
Shawnee IT: Suggest modifying person/group responsible to include teachers, technology and also include PowerSchool in the activity.
  • Principals should have the ability to edit any fields/records in PowerSchool. Principals should also be able to access records of students from other schools. Defer to district.
K-12 IT: Agree with above --- Principals should have full access to PowerSchool for their particular school and read-only access for other school buildings. Inconsistencies with access that currently exist among building administrators should be removed. Defer to district.
T. Drago (4/07): We can open access for principals to other buildings so it is possible to do that in PowerSchool. Confidentiality is an issue that upper administration needs to discuss. We want it to be as secure as possible due to the types of info there.
