Eastern Viking Band Aides Meting Minutes
March 13, 2017
Roll call of officers: All members were present
Last two months minutes were approved
Few updates were mentioned:1. Wildwood tab has been added to the EVBA website at evba-boosters.com
2. Final payment for Wildwood is due March 31st.
3. Mid April we will put up the volunteer slots needed for the home show on the EVBA sign-up genius. Donations are already up
By-laws: There were no questions or concerns with the new by-laws so we put them to a vote.
By-laws were approved with 13 yes and 2 abstentions
Next month’s meeting (April 10) is the nominations for the next EVBA Board Members. Anyone
interestedin running and have any questions are invited to reach out to any of the current members.
The positions available are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and Hospitality.
Each nominee is asked to write a brief statement that will be posted for all members to read and get to
know you before May’s meeting which is election night
Volunteers needed: We need help with drumline uniforms—helping Julie Kane with uniforms on competition days
Prop Crew Help: March 18—Guard has competition at Egg Harbor and there is no drumline that day. Guard will need as much help as you can give them
Chapters Championship—Sunday April 30. We need volunteers to help with parking, tickets, food, raffles, etc. We will put a solid list of what we need on the EVBA Sign-up Genius by Mid April.
Designer Bag Bingo—We are looking to get a committee started now so that we may try for a November Bingo night. This was a fantastic fundraiser!!
Outdoor Uniform Committee—We need a committee to get started in late May/early June to get our kids outdoor uniforms ready.

May 24, 2017: please hold that date for the Band Banquet. It’s going to be a blast. The Banquet Committee is having a meeting on Thurs, 3/16/17 at 8pm in Room 609, if you’re interested in helping with this fun event. The committee has some great ideas for the evening.
WE NEED A TON OF PICTURES!! WE NEED BOTH OUTDOOR AND INDOOR PICTURES!! BOTH BAND AND GUARD. FUN SHOTS(Wildwood), HARD WORKING SHOTS(band camps), PERFORMING SHOTS(any of their awesome performances)—WHATEVER YOU HAVE WE WANT!
SENIORS: WE NEED YOUR SENIORS PICTURE AND A BABY PICTURE.
We will have a tab on our website: evba-boosters.com, to send these pictures to. If you don’t have them electronic—no worries, or if you have them on a thumb drive, you can drop them off to any one of the board members or leave them on Stanz’s desk marked BAND PICTURES. We will get them.
A question was asked about using some of the money that was raised to purchase a trailer instead of renting trucks each week. Just so we all are aware, the truck rental goes through the school board. We put the money up front but Eastern BOE sends us a reimbursement check. Mr. Trinkner was at our meeting and he informed the group that one trailer wouldn’t be big enough to hold all the equipment. We would also need someone willing to use their own vehicle to pull the trailer and for those reasons, we don’t think it is the right fit for our group. We did ask for the name of the person willing to give us a discount on a trailer in case our situation changes.
Mr. Trinkner spoke about both groups and what a great job they are both doing. He went over some Wildwood information. Which days the groups perform, possible times they will perform, he wasn’t exactly sure when the mandatory parent meeting for Wildwood will be but he’s thinking 2nd week in April but he will keep us informed.
