About The Club:
The Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club located at 14421 Country Club Road, Melfa, VA 23410 was founded in April 1960, when 125 acres of land on Yeo Neck was acquired from Levin T. Johnson. Eddie Ault was selected as the golf course architect. By July 1960, 285 persons had joined the club. The Board of Directors held their first meeting in the new clubhouse on June 7, 1961. Today the Eastern Shore Yacht and Country Club is five hundred members strong. With the Clubhouse overlooking Pungoteague Creek, the club is the focal point for social and recreational activities for its members. The golf course pool and dock hum with activity all season.
Facilities:
Eastern Shore has an Eddie Ault designed 18 Hole Golf Course, 2 Har-Tru Clay Courts, Dock, Pro Shop. The club house has been completely renovated and has beautiful sun set views over the water in which to enhance your dining experience or to relax with a cocktail at the bar.
Qualifications:
*A leader with strong food and beverage credentials and a proven track record of providing high-level services in a hospitality or membership constituency setting and with a personality that is commensurately appropriate to the Eastern Shore Yacht & Country Club culture.
* Has a strong background in finance and budget management for all areas of the club.
* Communication skills and standards of professionalism which enable him/her to deal effectively with members, guests and staff, with sensitivity to the needs of all these groups
The General Manager will supervise the following departments:
*Pro Shop
*Grounds
*Pool
*Sailing
*Housekeeping
*Office Staff
*All areas of Food and Beverage
Compensation:
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include bonus, professional association expenses, interviewing expenses, moving allowance, and Club Insurance.
