Paragraph No: Applicability
Comment:Handover of one RPA in between two different RPS is an important feature that is essential for an operational system. It is suggested to replace this exclusion with an more relevant requirements related to this functionality
Justification:None
Proposed Text (if applicable): “…- with the option of an handover of one RPA in between different RPS”
EASA response:
Not accepted. The current special condition is intended for projects for which the application has been sent to EASA. The current projects do not include handover between RPS.

Comment:This SC is related to the RPS, therefore this function should be related to the RPS.
Justification:None
Proposed Text (if applicable): “RPA Electrical Energy shutoff” shall be replaced by “RPS Electrical Energy shutoff”
EASA response:
Partially accepted. The paragraph SC-RPAS.RPS-07 (c) will be removed and added to SC-RPAS.101 Electronic Equipment Fault Detection and Isolation. RPS Electrical Energy Shutoff is not mandated in this special condition but SC-RPAS.RPS-06 (a) 1) provides the protection to the RPS occupants.

Comment:This SC is related to the RPS, therefore this master switch should be related to the RPS.

Proposed Text (if applicable): “… all electric power sources on the RPA” shall be replaced by “… all electric power sources on the RPS”.

Comment:This requirement seems to be applicable for those RPS which are placed on a moving platform. It is recommended to delete this requirement.

EASA response:
Not accepted. It is not just moving platform that may induce vibrations. There are more sources of vibrations that may damage or impair the readability or accuracy of the instruments.
