Co-Director

Earthfire Institute is seeking a dynamic leader to be ourpublic face in the development community and a business partner to the Executive Director in leading the organization forward. This is a rare and challenging opportunity to make a really significant impact on the conservation world.

Earthfire Institute’s mission is to change how people see, and therefore treat, wildlife and nature. We do this by helping people make an emotional connection with the rescued wild animals of Earthfire. Loving wild animals deeply shifts our perception, helping us feel the power and companionship of a non-human-centered perspective. This starts us on a journey towards connecting with an ever-expanding circle of life, leading us to make better conservation decisions. Thus Earthfire serves as a successful powerful seed center of ideas, stimulating and reframing the discussion of conservation by including the voices of living beings usually outside our perceived community. Our present goal is to bring the voices of the animals out to a larger international audience through increased social media outreach, retreats, and webinars.

The Co-Director will be sharing the responsibility for growing and managing the fundraising, business development, marketing communications, and operations management infrastructure and staff to support this goal, and will be the chief advocate of our innovative approach to building an environmentally sustainable future. The Co-Director will also serve a key strategic planner at Earthfire.

The right candidate has a strong background in major donor fundraising and business development; experience growing a small organization; is a non-traditional thinker; and has a passion for wild animals and conservation.Relocation to Driggs, Idaho preferred, but this is flexible for the right candidate.
