Earth Week Schedule of Events

ALL WEEK

·  SEAL Plastic Bag Exchange – SEAL will be exchanging 40 of your disposable plastic bags for a reusable canvas bag all week in the UC. Limit one per person, although they will take as many bags as you can provide!

o  Their Facebook group announced 11 AM to 1 PM, but likely to extend beyond those times.

o  U.C. – can be done in Leadership and Development or the UW Credit Union

MONDAY, APRIL 20th

·  Tree Planting Kick-Off Ceremony – Chancellor Telfer will be in attendance to help plant one of the new trees donated by S.A.G.E.

TUESDAY, APRIL 21st

·  S.A.G.E. Nature Tours of the Prairie Preserve – Take a guided tour of the Prairie Preserve while S.A.G.E. members point out interesting natural features.

o  Every hour, on the hour, starting at 10 AM and concluding at 3 PM

o  Tour starts at the entrance to the Prairie in the Stadium parking lot

·  Walk-A-Thon for Campus Solar Project – Join in a fun walk around campus for a chance to win prizes and raise money for proposed solar panels for Hyland Hall.

o  4:30 – 5:30 PM

o  Starts at Greenhouse Café and proceeds to several checkpoints on campus

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22nd

·  Earth Day Agenda – Visit http://www.uww.edu/earthday for the complete event agenda, including several keynote speakers, breakout discussion sessions, business bazaar, alternative car show, eco-tours of campus, and poster display.

THURSDAY, APRIL 23rd
