Guiding Questions for the Tri-Fold Board:

1. What is the environmental problem?

❏Explain the science of the problem.

❏Explain where, when (how long, how often), and why it is happening.

❏Show evidence that it’s happening: data, statistics, photos, quotes, reports, etc.

2. What are the risks?

❏Explain what will happen eventually if this continues.

❏Show who or what is at risk. Connect this to living organisms.

❏Persuade the reader that this problem is urgent and important to them.

3. What are the solutions?

❏Explain the science behind possible solutions.

❏Give examples of what the average person can do every day to help.

❏If possible, show what businesses, schools, or other groups can do to help.

❏List other real organizations who are already supporting this cause.

Project Checklist:

❏Decide on topic, partners, products.

❏Complete top of rubric (Google Doc) and share with Santos and partner.

❏Read the rest of the rubric to see what a “3” or “4” requires.

❏RESEARCH the questions above. Take notes!

❏Save your websites/sources as you go along.

❏Begin typing up research (above) to be printed and displayed on your board

❏Create visuals for your board.

❏Find data related to your cause. Find a way to display it using your own work.

❏Create the 2 products you have chosen.

❏Write a script for your oral presentation.

❏Practice your oral presentation. If you are recording it, record it.

❏Complete your list of sources.

❏Complete any printing, drawing, coloring, or writing for your board.

❏Make printouts / copies of products, if needed.

❏Turn in electronic files, if needed.
