Optional items:

Students have access to a limited amount of hot chocolate but are not provided with coffee or tea. You may choose to bring your own INSTANT coffee (Starbucks Via or other water-based product) or tea along with your own creamer mix, sugar, spoons, coffee cups, etc. We will have hot water available mornings and evenings for you.

All of these items should be packed in your duffle bag.

A note about our Dress Code:

1 Timothy 2:9 encourages us to be “modest in our appearance” and we support this through the dress code. We also want to be respectful of the Mexican culture, where they are far more conservative in their dress than we are here. To that end, we ask that students and leaders observe the following guidelines:

  • Yoga pants are only allowed during the car rides and at camp.
  • While on worksites, all shirts must have sleeves
  • No shorts, capris or yoga pants on work sites or in church service on Sunday morning
  • Shorts worn in camp must be conservative (knee length)
  • For Good Friday services, clothing must be conservative and appropriate for church services

Packing Tips:

Everything in your duffle bag will get dirty so just plan for it. You’ll want clean clothes for Friday night in Irvine, so we recommend you pack those into a zip lock bag to keep them clean. Just a note that most people tend to dress up a bit on that night.
