DYN7909 Slash Front Sway Bar Set

  1. Assemble the sway bar links by threading the M3x10mm setscrews into two of the plastic rod ends using a 1.5mm hex wrench. Thread the remaining two rod ends onto the open end of the M3x10mm set screws.
  2. Snap the pivot balls into the rod ends of the sway bar links. Each link should have one adjustable pivot ball w/setscrew and one without. These should be installed from opposite sides of the sway bar link.
  3. Slide the sway bar through the sway bar mount and secure with the two blue anodized collars and M3x3mm setscrews. The stepped part of the collar goes toward the sway bar mount. Make sure that the sway bar is centered in the mount and moves freely once the collars are secure.
  4. Slide the adjustable pivot ball w/setscrew onto the each end of the sway bar and secure with M3x3mm setscrews.
  5. Remove the two front bumper mounting screws using a 2.5mm hex wrench. Slide the sway bar mount in-between the bumper and the bumper mount with the sway bar wire toward the rear of the vehicle. Reinstall the bumper mounting screws through the bumper and sway bar mount.
  6. Remove the stock shock mounting screws from the front suspension arms using a 2mm hex wrench. Using the M3 x25 flat head screws reattach the shock along with the lower non adjustable pivot ball. The lower pivot ball sits on the front of the suspension arm with the longer side of the ball against the arm.
  7. When complete the sway bar links should move freely on the pivot balls. If they do not you may need to adjust the upper and lower plastic rod ends orientation to each other in order to get free movement.

Adjusting your sway bar

In order to achieve a stiffer sway bar that provides less chassis roll and therefore less steering, move the adjustable pivot ball on the sway bar towards the bend in the sway bar.

In order to achieve a softer sway bar that provides more chassis roll and more steering, move the adjustable pivot ball on the sway bar towards the end of the sway bar.
