The Module Leader is required to produce a Module Handbook (see below for indicative content) which provide students with the information they need to plan their work and to ensure that they meet the assessment requirements of the module.These guidelines should be distributed and discussed with all students registered on the module. Module Handbooks should also be published on the programme DLE pages.

  • detailed information on assessment tasks tasks (e.g. assessment guidelines, assessment, marking and grading criteria)
  • planned dates for any group discussion about the assessment
  • value (i.e. weighting)
  • date and time deadline for submission including information on penalties for late submission
  • planned datesfor the release of marks and feedback
  • sources of guidance and support available ( seminars, personal tutorial,DAS, LD and peer support)
  • clear guidance on referencing protocols.
