710/05 MATTERS ARISING FROM MINUTES

______

Councillor Ian Dooley referred to a general report which was to be produced outlining the Councils progress in relation to Anti Social Behaviour and Mr. Jim Byrne, Administrative Officer, advised that this would be available in 2006.

Councillor Seamus Keelan referred to minute number 669/05 on page 3 noting that the consultant engineer was to attend the January 2006 meeting, and the Town Engineer, Ms. Catherine Duff confirmed that the consultants would attend the January 2006 Monthly Meeting. He also referred to minute 674/05 in relation to the Annual Financial Statement 2004 and pointed out that it was reported that he had asked if all assets other than housing were appreciated and if land and building were depreciated where in fact he had asked if land and buildings were appreciated in value. It was agreed to amend the minutes accordingly.

711/05 HOUSING PROGRESS REPORT

______

Councillor Seamus Keelan raised a query in relation to what the position regarding voluntary housing aspect of the Lisdoo Housing Scheme? The Town Engineer, Ms. Catherine Duff advised that one contractor would complete all the work including the Social, Voluntary and OPD Housing.

Mr. Jim Byrne, Administrative Officer, referred to the Scheme for Allocation of Affordable Housing which was already considered by the council at the November meeting. He advised that three minor changes were made to the scheme by Louth County Council when it was considered at the monthly meeting. Paragraph three had been re-written, paragraph 10 was also re-written and in relation to distance travelling, the points were changed considerably. Also in addition there was one small typical error and he agreed to re-circulate the revised document to the January 2006 meeting.

712/05 PROGRESS REPORT

Councillor Seamus Keelan asked who the consultants were who were preparing the preliminary report for the Blackrock/Dundalk walkway and the Town Engineer, Ms. Catherine Duff advised that the consultants were Kirk, McClure & Morton.
