Class 2 / Foal likely to make a Hunter (Foal has to be 4 weeks old or over on date of show).
Class 3 / Yearling Filly, Yearling Colt likely to make a Hunter
Class 4 / Two/Three year old filly or gelding likely to make a Hunter
Class 5 / Hunter, Mare or Gelding over 158cm (15.2hh)
Class 6 / Small Hunter, Mare or Gelding over 148cm (14.2hh), not exceeding 158cm (15.2hh)
Please note that classes 5 and 6 will not start before 10.00am
RING 1 / RIDDEN CLASSES
Class 7 / Riding Horse 158cm (14.2hh) and over
(Horse must either be Hunter OR Riding Horse – and cannot compete in both sections.

Horses must be full thoroughbred, registered with Weatherbys, must have been in training as a racehorse, must be over 4 years old must be over 15.0hh
Copies of Weatherby’s Registration and Training Certificate to be included with entry.

Must be shown trimmed and hogged
Class 10 /

Traditional Native Cob exceeding 148cm (14.2hh)

IN HAND CLASSES

Class 16 / Yearling/Two/Three year old filly or gelding not to exceed 148cm (14.2hh) at maturity

Class 18 / Arab, Anglo Arab or Part Bred Arab. Any age in hand.
Class 19 / Coloured Pony not to exceed 148cm (14.2hh). Any age in hand.
Class 20 / Coloured Horse exceeding 148cm (14.2hh). Any age in hand.
RING 2 / VETERANS
Class 21 / Veteran Horse or Pony. 25 years and over. To be shown under saddle.
Veteran Horse or Pony. 20 – 24 years. To be shown under saddle.
Pre Veteran Horse or Pony. 15 – 19 years. To be shown under saddle.

Veteran Horse Society Scottish Veteran Horse of the Year 2014 Qualifier
The Veteran Horse Society Scottish Showing Series is kindly sponsored by Allen & Page Quality Horse Feeds. Qualifiersare open to both Members & Non MembersoftheVeteran Horse Society. Please note all competitors should acquaintthemselveswiththerulesoftheVHS,theycan be found at The Champion and Reserve Champion Veteran willgoforwardto the Supreme Final in September 2014.
All competitors must be VHS Members to gain the qualifying card.
Veteran Rules:-
No galloping or spurs allowed in the ring.
Basic walk, trot and canter.
Mark system is in relation to condition and movement in relation to age.
Handler or rider must be 16 years of age or over.
Turnout in accordance with breed.
All competitors must be compliant with Veteran Horse Society Rules and Regulations.
Qualification cards will be handed our in the ring at the time of presentation of rosettes.
The same veteran and handler/rider combination must carry the qualification. No exchange of horse or rider is accepted.
The Champion and Reserve Champion will go on to compete at the Veteran
Horse Society Scottish Veteran Horse of the year 2014.

10.00am / Entries accepted on the field - £10.00 per class, (£8.00 if entered before the day).
Competitors in the showjumping will be limited to two classes
Class 50 / Novice. Max height 70cm in first round.
Not having won 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Novice Showjumping or above
Class 51 / Intermediate. Max height 80cm in first round.
Not having won 1st, 2nd or 3rd in Open Showjumping
Class 52 / Small Open. Max height 90cm in first round.
Class 53 / Open. Max height 1.05m in first round.
Class 54 / Genuine Wibbly Wobbly Beginners – cross poles only

All entries must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor for one month prior to the show.

All ridden and driven horses and ponies to be four years old and over.

NO STALLIONS ALLOWED: only yearling colts.

Broodmares without a foal at foot must nominate the stallion visited on entry form.

All foals must be led.

All foals must be 4 weeks old or over on date of show.

Any lost horse shoes must be reported to the Secretary as soon as possible.

Everyone mounted, whether competing or not, must wear protective headgear conforming to current British Standards.

Mountain and Moorland entries must be shown unplaited.

Trophies to be returned by trophy winners by 1st May 2015.

CLASSES MAY CLASH AND WILL NOT BE HELD UP

Objections to be lodged with the Secretary within half an hour of class at cost of £50.00.

If insufficient entries in any class, the Committee reserve the right to amalgamate the class, or cancel the class when entry money will be refunded.
