DSM-5: An Overview of Changes

Meredith Griffin, PsyD, LP will provide an overview of the differences between the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual – Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5). The DSM-5 is scheduled for release in May 2013. The objectives of this training are as follows:

·  Review of the organization of the DSM-5

·  Review changes in diagnostic recording procedures

·  Revisions to several diagnoses

·  Review of new diagnoses

·  A description of the new Cultural Formulation Interview
