Collect

Almighty and everliving God, increase in us your gift of faith, that forsaking what lies behind and reaching out to what is before, we may run the way of your commandments and win the crown of everlasting joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer over the Gifts

Eternal God, your word inspires our faith. May we who offer you our praise trust you in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen.

Prayer after Communion

God of peace, you have nourished us in this sacrament with the body and blood of Christ. May we who have taken holy things keep faith in our hearts and lives, in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen

Beacon 2025

Wonder what happened to the strategic plan we were working on last year? It's been on hold, but it hasn't been forgotten! Rev. Peters and the planning team met on September 20 to find out about the plan and to reactivate the work. On October 23, during our 10:30 service the committee will present the findings and start the work, with your help and God's guidance, as we set a beacon for our parish. Don't miss this important presentation!

Youth Group

Youth ages 12-16 are invited to join us on Friday October 28th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the parish hall for a evening of fun. We hope to make this a monthly event and will be seeking ideas from our youth for each event.

Interested people please contact Rev. Jolene or Shauna Wells.

Book Study

Beginning Thursday November 3rd @ 7:30 p.m.

Bible Study

Beginning Monday October 17th @ 7:00pm

Sound Room Operators

Vestry is currently in the process of initiating maintenance and upgrades to the church’s sound equipment. This will likely involve the purchase of additional equipment, speakers, and upgrades to our hearing assist sets.

This work will also necessitate further training for our current sound room operators and any other parishioners who have an interest in and could help with this important component of our worship.

We hope to have 6 to 8 trained operators available in future. Our sound room will then be managed exclusively by these trained personnel.

If any parishioner has an interest in receiving this sound room training, you are asked to contact Bob Dawe (834-2890) Chair of Property, or Reverend Peters (834-2336) by Monday, October 17, 2016 so that time and dates for training with a qualified technician can be arranged.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Altar Guild Meeting

The next scheduled meeting for the Altar is Sunday, October 23rd @ 9:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the hall and morning coffee will be served. Rev. Jolene will be joining us and we plan to discuss the Altar Guild’s role in the upcoming Fall Fair and preparation for the Church liturgies for the next two months. Please make every effort to attend.
