Driving directions to the Charms of Fairmount Park

from Center City and points south

The Fairmount Park Houses are located in East and West Fairmount Park, separated by the Schuylkill River.

First Stop #1: LEMON HILL

Take Benjamin Franklin Parkway to Kelly Drive.

At the statue of Lincoln on your right, turn right onto Sedgeley Drive.

Make a sharp left at the first intersection and proceed up the hill to LEMON HILL.

Stop #2: MOUNT PLEASANT

Return to Kelly Drive and turn right.

Continue past Boathouse Row to the first traffic light (statue of General Grant will be on your right) turn right onto Fountain Green Drive.

Take first left onto Mount Pleasant Drive to MOUNT PLEASANT.

Stop #3: LAUREL HILL

Return to Fountain Green Drive and turn left.

Fountain Green Dr. merges with Reservoir Dr.

Continue on Reservoir Dr. to Randolph/Edgeley Drive.

Turn left to LAUREL HILL.

Stop #4 WOODFORD

Continue on Randolph/Edgeley Dr.

At stop sign at the intersection proceed straight through intersection onto Dauphin Dr.

Turn left on Greenland Drive before 33rd Street to WOODFORD.

Stop #5: CEDAR GROVE (WEST PARK)

Return to Greenland Drive and turn left.

At intersection, make a slight right (not a hard right)onto Strawberry Mansion Drive that curves downhill

At the stop sign turn right to cross the Strawberry Mansion Bridge.

At stop sign at end of the bridge, turnleft and descend ramp to merge onto MLK Dr.

Cross Montgomery Drive (the first traffic light) and pass large brick pumphouse on your right

Take first right onto Black Road (look for blue directional signs to Cedar Grove).

At the top of the hill before the traffic circle make two quick lefts onto Cedar Grove Drive to CEDAR GROVE.

Stop #6: SWEETBRIAR

Return to the end of Cedar Grove Drive

Turn left and continue straight a short way down the hill to SWEETBRIAR.

TO RETURN TO CENTER CITY

From Sweetbriar cul-de-sac proceed up the hill and make first left.

Turn left at the stop sign.

Turn left at the next stop sign onto Lansdowne Drive.

Proceed downhill and turn left onto Sweetbriar Drive.

At stoplight turn right and follow MLK. Drive south to return to Philadelphia Museum of Art/Eakins Oval and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
