CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

THE EVENT will be held under the rules of the Australian National Drag Racing Association (ANDRA) AND WHATEVER SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS APPLY as per Racer Mail Out etc.

ALL COMPETITORS must complete and submit an entry form together with the ENTRY Fee and are bound by the rules governing the event. Incomplete entry forms will not be accepted.

COMPETITOR’S PRE-NOMS will be held at the office for collection on Race Day. DUE THE FRIDAY OF THE WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT.

REFUND OF ENTRY FEE: If the event is cancelled due to weather or any other unforeseen event, nominations will be refunded to entrants. Otherwise, no other refunds will be issued inside 48 hours prior to the event.

VEHICLE OWNER AND DRIVERagrees to permit the Organisers and/or ANDRA to impound the vehicle for investigation should any accident or incident occurs.

THE ORGANISERS may at any time refuse to accept, or reject any entry without assigning any reason therefore and without being in any way whatsoever liable to any person whatsoever for so doing.

VEHICLE OWNER AND DRIVER agree to permit the Organisers and their Assigns to use their names and pictures of themselves and of their race vehicles for publicity, advertising and endorsements (including newspapers, films, magazines, radio, television and posters etc) both before and after the Event and do hereby relinquish their rights to any photography in connection with the Event and give their permission to publish or sell or otherwise dispose of said photography as the Organisers may so desire.

IN consideration of your acceptance of my/our application to use Benaraby Raceway, I/we jointly and severally agree to keep INDEMNIFIED and to save harmless the Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc and their respective officers, officials and employees representatives and agents from and against all actions, claims, costs, expenses and demands in respect of death, injury, loss of or damage to a person or property of myself/ourselves my/our driver(s) passenger(s) or mechanic(s) as the case may be howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with my/our taking part in any meeting trial or practice session whether official or unofficial and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed or occasioned by the negligence of the said Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc or their officers, officials, employees, representatives or agents.

As a further condition of the acceptance of this application I/we DO HEREBY for each of us and each of our heirs, executors and administrators RELEASE Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc or all its members, officers, officials, employees, representatives or agents collectively and individually from all actions, suits, claims and demands for any loss, damage, injury or cost incurred, sustained or made by me and/or members arising directly or indirectly out of my/our participation in any capacity whatsoever at any time at Benaraby Raceway notwithstanding whether or not any such loss, damage, injury or cost shall have been caused or contributed to be any act omission or negligence on the part of Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc or its members, officers, officials, employees, representatives or agents or in any defect in the Drag Strip or appurtenances thereto apparatus appertaining thereto and further I/we DO HEREBY JOINTLY AND SEVERALLY CONVENANT to indemnify and to keep indemnified the said Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc all its members, officers, officials, employees, representatives or agents collectively and individually against all actions claims and demands for any injury, loss, expense, damage or cost suffered, sustained or incurred or made by or to any person, firm or corporations including the said Central Queensland Drag Racing Association Inc its members, officers, officials, employees, representatives or agents (or any defect in the Drag Strip or appurtenances thereto) and further I/we DO HEREBY AGREE AND DECLARE that in the interpretation of this clause the meaning thereof shall not be restricted by anything contained in the preceding clause.

BENARABY RACEWAY REGULATIONS

Knowledge of these regulations is a condition of Entry

(Failure to comply may result in disqualification and for removal from the facility)

SAFETY RULES

Clothing: All Competitors must meet minimum ANDRA safety standards for the vehicle.

Jack Stands: MUST be used while working under or warming up vehicles.

Right of Way: Lane 2 (RIGHT LANE - spectator side) must give way to Lane 1 (Tower Side) entering for the return road.

Clear Braking area as quickly as possible by turning left off the racing surface before stopping.

NO reckless or dangerous driving.

Return Road: Park lights only preferred down the return road – NO HIGH BEAM PLEASE.

Be Aware of tow cars coming down return road.

Start Line: Only crew members who are at least 14yrs old, have signed the ANDRA indemnity and are wearing identification as issued on day, are allowed on the racing surface. Closed footwear must be worn at all times on the track surface.

Speed Limits: All areas 15kph including Return Road.

Protect the Racing Surface: in the event of mechanical damage, leaking fluids, or debris from the vehicle please move to the barrier side of the lane as soon as is practical to prevent major clean ups.

Helmets: Must be appropriate standard for the performance of the vehicle and MUST STAY ON UNTIL COMPETITIOR LEAVES THE RACING SURFACE. HELMET STANDARDS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE. Must be worn while operating ATVs.

Burnouts: No one is to touch a vehicle during a burnout.

Alcohol: Strictly NO ALCOHOL in the pit area during the race meeting. Race drivers and Crew are not to consume alcohol prior to the completion of the event. If any racer is found partaking of alcohol or any other illegal substance during the event the racer will be immediately disqualified from the event. Random breath testing may occur at any time during an event.

RACE RULES

Pit Area: If allotted, must be used to assist officials in assembling brackets for racing. Please be considerate of other teams needing room to tow in and out of their pit area with tow vehicle and race vehicles with poor turning circles. All trailers (except workshop type) and excess crew vehicles must be parked in trailer park.

Scrutineering: Vehicles must be presented to the scrutineering area in full race format – RACE READY.

Race Numbers: Must be ANDRA specification and visible from the tower for all competitors. Bikes must have 300mmx200mm plate firmly attached to bike in an area not obscured by the rider’s legs.

Qualifying: Each competitor may only have 3 qualifying runs. DO NOT ATTEMPT further passes, you will be turned away.

Drivers Briefing: All racers must attend the briefing. Any racer not reporting their readiness may be excluded from seeding. No engines are to be started or running during briefing.

No Seeding: Racers will line up in the staging lanes in any order when called to the lanes. It is the racers responsibility to ensure they do not run the same person twice

Burnouts:Water/Static burnouts on concrete pads only. VEHICLES MUST BE KEPT MOVING FORWARD to avoid damage to surface.

Centre & boundary Lines: Touching or crossing the centre line or boundary line during competition will result in disqualification. The competitor must get off the throttle and cease racing immediately and coast through the finish line.

Dial In & Staging Vehicle: Your dial in is considered accepted upon commencement of your burnout. All vehicles must stage under their own power in a forward motion.

Staging Lanes: Racer must cooperate with staging marshals to assemble fields for racing. Any unattached vehicles will be pushed to the side and left out of the racing, crew must be present with vehicle at all times.

Racing Distance: Racing will cease when each competitor crosses the timing sensors.

Staging/Sandbagging: Competitors will be given a reasonable amount of time (approx. 20 seconds) to stage at the total discretion of the Starter once your competitor is fully staged. Ignoring a direction from Starter will result in disqualification.

Red Light: The first competitor to red light for any reason loses the race immediately. Only in the case of the competitor in the other lane crossing the centre or side line during the race will the decision be over turned.

Withdrawal: Any competitor unable to continue during qualifying must immediately notify the tower staff to enable adjustment of fields as necessary. During racing, you must inform your bracket marshal immediately.

Standing Regulations: It is the responsibility of the Driver/Rider/Entrant to acquaint themselves with these regulations and any supplementary regulations of the particular meeting. A competitor or entrant who breaks these regulations may be disqualified. Entrants are reminded that their crew are their responsibility. Competitors could be penalised for the actions of their crews.

Racer Complaints: Direct your complaints to your staging marshal who will consult with the meeting director and advise you of the outcome. Meeting Directors decision is final.
