Approximately 1000 of these questionnaires will be sent to affected user groups of Yellowstone National Park and its surrounding national forest, specifically: visitors to Yellowstone (both tourists consuming views of scenery and wildlife and those who fish and swim in Yellowstone lake), producers in and around Yellowstone (hotel and restaurant owners and other members of the local economy), and the general population to evaluate nonuse values.

The recipients would score survey from 1 to 10 with a score of 1 meaning absolutely unacceptable to 10 meaning of absolutely should have this policy.

Part I

Yellowstone lowers its admission price resulting in more crowded and less clear scenic vistas?

Local high paying logging jobs disappear resulting in losses in the local economy, however increased wildlife.

Yellowstone now closes several of its moderately popular areas in the spring and fall, resulting in greater numbers of endangered species and biodiversity, but less accessibility to these animals and plants

Yellowstone increases the numbers hotels, restaurants, and service areas resulting in increased convenience, but losses in the clarity and purity of Yellowstone lake and its tributaries.

Yellowstone bans cars and snowmobiles in the park resulting in less noise, clear views, and in the winter more animal self reliance, however, it results in long waits, less choice where you visit, and less time alone with your family.

Yellowstone implements a waiting list policy, ensuring people of a less crowded, less polluted, and more enjoyable park, however, you must now wait one to five to be granted admission to the park.

Yellowstone decides to let backpackers have free reign in the park, resulting in increased trail erosion, increased animal reliance on humans, and a loss of solitude, but increased number of people able to see remote and previously less visited areas of the park.
