DRAFT Requirements- Phase 2 Enrolment Reporting Initiative (ERI)
Below areOnSIS high level draft requirements for each of the three non-credit continuing education registers which are part of phase 2 of the Enrolment Reporting Initiative (ERI) being implemented for October2015-2016 school year.
- Enrolment in Literacy and Numeracy Program Requirements
- Data to be collected at an elemental level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS.See screen shots on pages 3-5.
- ADE to be collected by Course Offering Type for each student. Course Offering Types include:
-Grade 7 or 8 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-Non-credit Grade 9 or 10 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-Literacy and Numeracy for Parents and Guardians
- Either ‘ADE - September to June’ or ‘ADE – Summer’ must be reported
- Course start date and course end date required to differentiate between duplicate records should the student take the same program more than once in a given year.
- Literacy and Numeracy for Parents and Guardians will be submitted using the childs OEN, First Name, Last Name, DOB and Gender.
- Allow boards to submit multiple ADE records [AN1]where Course Offering Type = ‘Literacy and Numeracy for Parents and Guardians’ should more than one parent/guardian be enrolled in the program.
2. Enrolment in the International Languages Elementary (ILE) Program Requirements
- Data to be collected at an aggregate level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS.
- Collection to include Number of Classes, Number of Instructors, Number of Students [AN2]and Total Number of Hours[AN3] by international language (similar to existing Board Aggregate collection. See screen shots on page 2.
3. Enrolment in Adult Native Language Instruction Requirementsnot currently offered at TDSB
- Data to be collected at an elemental level once a year at the end of August through the con-ed and/or summer school submissions in OnSIS. See screen shots on pages 3-5.
- Collect ADE by Course Offering Type for each student.
-Adult Native Language
- Native Language the student is enrolled in must be reported.
- Either ‘ADE - September to June’ or ‘ADE – Summer’ must be reported
- Course start date and course end date required to differentiate between duplicate records should the student take the same program more than once in a given year.
- Small class size adjustment will not be collected through OnSIS.
OnSIS Form Updates - Continuing Education (Night) School Submission
Add new link ‘International Languages Elementary Program’ to the School Data submission menu for con-ed school submissions. See mock-up below.
A newInternational Languages Elementary Programaggregate form will be created to collect ILE enrolment throughcon-ed school submissions.See mock-up below. Screen will look similar to the existing ILE collection on the October Board Report.
A new ‘ADE – Non Credit’ button will be added to the student School Enrolment form which will take users to the new ‘Average Daily Enrolment (ADE) – Non Credit’ form.
- A new Average Daily Enrolment (ADE) – Non Credit form will be added to the con-ed school submission to collect the ADE for students enrolled inLiteracy/Numeracy and Adult Native Language non-credit programs.
- Users will be required to submit ‘Course Offering’, Course Start Date, Course End Date, Native Language (if applicable)and either ‘ADE – September to June’ or ‘ADE – Summer’ for each ADE record.
- Course Offeringdropdown field will include the following values:
-Grade 7 or 8 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-Non-credit Grade 9 or 10 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy

Form Updates - Summer School Submission
- The existing Average Daily Enrolment (ADE) – Non Credit form will be updated to collect the ADE for students enrolled in non-credit programs.
- Users will be required to submit ‘Course Offering’, Course Start Date, Course End Date, Native Language (if applicable)and either ‘ADE – September to June’ or ‘ADE – Summer’ for each ADE record.
- Course Offering dropdown field will include the following values:
-Elementary program for developmentally delayed pupils (existing value added in 2014-2015)
-Grade 7 or 8 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-Non-credit Grade 9 or 10 Remedial Literacy and Numeracy
-Literacy and Numeracy for Parents and Guardians (Also refer to Option B below)
-Adult Native Language Instruction

- Keepexisting ‘School Special Condition Type’ 8 – Summer School
- Rename existing ‘School Special Condition Type’ 4 – Night to 4 – Continuing Education School
- Close existing ‘School Special Condition Type’ M – Adult Continuing Education Day School
- Add anew field ‘Continuing Education Program(s)’to the School Form to identify the programs offered at the Continuing Education school. Multiple programs can be selected. See sample list below:
