I know Marathi, English, Hindi and Sanskrit very well. I can write and also compose poems in these languages. I have completed a Correspondence Course in German language conducted by British Institute, Mumbai.

Research Activities

1) M. Phil. in English-- The topic of M. Phil. Dissertation was ‘John Donne and Tukaram : A Comparative Investigation of their Religious Poetry’.

2) Ph. D. in English-- Ph. D. degree for the thesis ‘Prominent Women Characters in the Iliad, Odyssey and Mahabharata : A Comparative Study’ .

3] Two M. Phil. and Five Ph. D. students are awarded their degrees under my supervision.

4] A Project on Indian Women’s Writing in English was assigned to me by Sahityapremi Bhagini Mandal, Pune in their Project of Women’s Writing in India. It is published in their book ‘Bharatiya Bhashantil Stri Sahityacha Magova’-vol.-2 in English and in Marathi.

5] Many papers are presented in national and international conferences and published in anthologies.

CREATIVE WRITING

My Marathi One-Act Play ‘Muktatma’ about Veer Savarkar and its Sanskrit version made by me have won prizes in competitions.

The One Act Play in Marathi and Sanskrit ‘Prathamah Sphullingah’ about Vasudeva Balavant Phadke won prizes in competitions. These one-act plays were broadcast on AIR.

The One Act Play in Marathi on Swami Vivekananda ‘Vishwamanava’ won prizes in competitions.

Many short stories, poems and review articles are published in Marathi magazines.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

I have been teaching Sanskrit and Yog Sutras to many foreign students of Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute, Pune.

I was associated in editing P. L. Deshpande’s Speeches on the AIR that are published in two volumes by Mauj Prakashan, Mumbai.

I have visited France in a Cultural Exchange Programme and travelled in Egypt, Europe, England, CambodiaandThailand.
