PARENT WEEK AT SINAGUA MIDDLE SCHOOL

Open House activities will take place during the week of August 27th. Parents and guardians are invited to come to SMS and take part in planned activities. A different activity will take place each day, allowing parents to experience a variety of activities. The week’s schedule is:

Monday, Sept. 9th Parent-Gram Day – Join us in the morning or during lunch to write a message to your student and post it on the Sinagua Middle School bulletin board. The PTO organizes this event and they will also have note cards available in the office if needed.

Tuesday, Sept. 10th Parent Switch Day - Go back in time and remember what it is like to be in middle school. On this day you canattend one to all six of your child’sclasses. Students can stay in the class with you or go the gym for games or the auditorium for a movie. If by chance, your child is taking the 4-sight test that day, you will not be able to switch out that period, but you can come and meet us in the office during that hour. Each teacher will have a sheet in their room for you to sign-in on.

Wednesday, Sept. 11th Evening Open House - Unable to make it during the day, or ten minute classes sound more like your thing, then make sure you attend the evening open house. Classes will begin promptly at 6:00 pm, so make sure you have your child’s schedule, or bring your son/daughter with you to show you around. You will have ten minutes in each class to hear a brief presentation about the curriculum and classroom expectations. If you would like more time to meet with your child’s teacher, please set up an appointment to meet with them, so they can schedule enough time to address your concerns and questions.

Thursday, Sept 12th Parent Luncheon - School lunch has dramatically improved over the years, and you are invited to bring your own lunch or purchase a delicious lunch here for only $3.70 for adults and $2.70 for students. Food service will have a fabulous spread of Mexican food prepared for the parents and students who are eating together. And, as always, you can bring your own lunch!
