Academic Work-in-Progress
Based on research initiated during my Fulbright Fellowship, the first of several papers on the motivations of Romanian sport spectators is in the final draft stages and targeted for the journal Sports Marketing QuarterlyDecember 2010.
With data collected in Hungary, Poland and Moldovia, the research track above continues to examine the motivations of sport spectators in other areas of Eastern Europe. This research is expected to be forthcoming in early Spring 2011, targeted for Sports Marketing Quarterly or similar publications.
Finishing up a draft of a marketing case study with ethical implications in response to a special call for papers on that subject by Marketing Education Review. This manuscript was accepted for review in September 2010 forMarketing Education Review.
Additional data collected for a 2nd study in Romania, Hungary, Poland and Moldovia that will investigate the attitudes of sport spectators toward commercialism in professional live and broadcast sports. Analysis of the data for this study is expected to begin in the next few weeks. Output of papers is expected in late Spring 2011, and targeted for Sports Marketing Quarterly or similar publications.
