Work Experience:

Assistant Professor at WVUAugust 2012-present

As an assistant professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at WVU, I have taught four classes. Additionally, I have submitted several proposals, published three papers, and received one funded subcontract from JPL.I am also advising two graduate students.

NASA/JPL Engineering Internship May 2008-August 2008

I compared the effectiveness of three Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) software programs (MALTO, MIDAS, and Impact) at designing interplanetary missions with impulsive thrust. I demonstrated that MALTO and Impact (newer software) were capable replacing MIDAS (older software), so MIDAS could be successfully retired.

Honors/Awards:

Bilsland Dissertation Fellowship, June 2011-May 2012

Purdue Forever Fellowship, Nov 2010 – Aug 2011

Charles C. Chappelle Fellowship, Aug 2008 – July 2009

Tau Beta Pi Member, Member Class of Fall 2007

National Merit Finalist and scholarship winner, 2005

Computer Skills Summary:

MATLAB/Simulink, Mathematica, LaTeX, Microsoft Office, JPL’s MALTO and Mystic, AGI’s STK, Goddard’s GMAT software, C, C++, and CUDA (a GPU programming language).
