May 5, 2015 Regular Meeting Minutes

On May 5, 2015 a meeting of the Doniphan-Trumbull School Foundation was called to order in session at 5:26 P.M., in the Community Room at Doniphan-Trumbull High School by President Scott Roach.

Board President Roach acknowledged that the notice of the meeting was given in advance in accordance with the D-TSF bylaws. Sec./Treasurer Russell took the roll. Members present were: Laurie Lueck, Dick Mays, Chris Sullivan, Scott Roach, & RenaeBrummond absent Carla Maurer, Brent Rainforth, Kelly Karges, Tiffany Johnson.

Motion by __Russell seconded by _Lueck__ to approve the agenda and approve the April 7, 2015 minutes. Motion passes.

Action Items:

4-B-1- Foundation Fundraising Project date is Saturday, August 1, 2015. Discussion from committee’s:

*Food/Beverage- Committee has contacted Carnivores and reserved 300 10 oz. New York Strip Steaks for $6.85 per steak, to be picked up and paid for in June.

Mr. Russell is speaking to Erin Gastmann, D-T Cafeteria manager to price out and plan to purchase remaining meal items (9 oz baked potato, fresh green beans, tossed salad or cole slaw, dinner roll, assorted cheese cake water/tea. We are also asking the current Cafeteria staff to cook and serve for the August 1 event.

*Entertainment- Whiskey Bent is $2500 and are not available August 1st. Waiting to hear back from Greg with Doodly Squat. Doodly Squat is not available,Renae is reviewing the Hall County Visitor Bureau’s list.

*Marketing/Tickets/Advertisment- Tickets have been created and are available for sale! Donations of:

$250 receive a reserved table and two (2) tickets

Corporate Sponsors- Eight (8) to a table, $250 receive 2 tickets; $500 receive 4 tickets

The directors agreed to use our same Theme “Launching Great Minds”. Food and beverage committee will plan for purchasing two-hundred fifty steaks (250), with two-hundred (200) tickets being sold for the event.

New Business-

5-A-- Reports:

5-A-1 The Education Foundation participated in the second “Go Big Give” campaign on May 1, 2015. Online giving for D-T Ed. Foundation was $410 from 5 donors. Offline giving (Employee Giving Campaign) totaled $615. The $615 goes into account to continue classroom mini-grants. The $410 will go into the 2016 Scholarship account.

5-A-2 Pepsi Sign Account- Money received from Community Club 1) dues fund totaled $44.51; 2) Sign Account $6,182.23.

5-A-3 One (1) Classroom Mini-Grant Application received so far. Teachers will be reminded of the chance to apply, deadline is May 31st.

Action Items:

5-B-1- Work continues to find additional board of director. Names nominated for director were Amy Niemoth, Marilyn Williams and Eric Haile.
