24 – January – 2017

Meeting on January 12th:

We survived this meeting without Candy here to keep the bank straight, and Dan to do what it is he does. “Bear” filled in for both of them, and did so very well!

Together at this gather were; Steve Agan, Willard Adams, the Daves – Arens and Beeson, Ed Bracamonte, Paul Diaz, Bobby Garcia, Pablo Hernandez, Bob Lewis, William Lundquist, Jose Ortiz, Gym Pfafflin, Jim Rico and Gina Scherzinger.

Guests:

Don Coleman – Tanque Verde Optimist Club

Frankie Koteras – Tanque Verde Optimist Club

Fines:

No fines were reported, and that is just fine.

This and That:

Don & Frankie shared with us the T. V. club’s annual “Super BowlFund Raiser” at $10 per guess (chance). This is an annual fund raiser for the “Verde” club, and in the past, a couple of our members have ‘benefited’ from it.

The up-coming District Quarterly Conference was covered by our Lieutenant Governor – our own “Bear” Lundquist. It will host the CCDHH District finals and celebrate the Arizona Districts 60th Birthday!

It was mentioned that the Van Buskirk Club group was in need of some funds. We are holding a bunch of funds for them. So as soon as possible, we will get the needed funds to them.

Then we had the drawings from the mornings tickets. Don Coleman won the hig pot, and gave it to our “Youth Fund”, and the small pot went to “Gym” and was also directed to the ‘Youth Fund’.

Meeting on January 19th”

“Bear” for use of language (??).

Esthermarie for all of her travels. Best is she got to Reno to visit Linz’s Mom.

This and That:

Jose’s daughter brought in Isabella and Jonathan to try to sell Girl Scout Cookies again this year.

As there was only one student at ASDB who applied for the CCDHH contest, that student will go directly to the District Finals at the District’s 2nd Quarter Conference. That will be at the Arizona Golf Resort in Mesa; February 10th to 12th. BTW, rooms are now closed, but you can run up there to watch this and be back home in a day. To register for the conference or meals – go to the District web site.

“No matter how hard the winter, spring always comes.”
