Name: ______

SOILLESS MEDIA PROJECT

PROJECT: For this project, you are to create a poster size brochure on your soilless media. You will be presenting your product to a major greenhouse company, so you will need to learn everything about your product, so you can convince a major greenhouse company to purchase your soilless media for this production.

SUPPLIES:

●Poster Board made into a brochure

●Colored pictures of your soilless media

●Colored markers/pencils to create your brochure

●Glue and scissors

INFORMATION:In creating your brochure, you need to make sure you mention everything about your soilless media, such as organic matter, porosity, water holding ability, permeability, pH level, cation exchange capacity, aeration, leaching, etc... Just remember, your soilless media may be effective or not effective by itself, so when you present your information, make sure you explain how it can help enhance the other products when used together or how it will help increase production by itself. In addition, your product may be used for a part of greenhouse production, such as growing seeds or nursery stock, but not for flower production. In your report, you must site your sources. Make sure your brochure is professional and you are well informed about your soilless media.

** A rubric is attached, so you know what you need to do to create a well professional brochure.
